This Skil bill in HR development looks very exciting....may be this will be the our savior bill. Now senate and house both has similar bills and based upon the trend, it looks there is not much resistance to this new bill.

I'm a little confused about my options in starting my H1 extension process and applying for my wife's H4 application.
Here is my current status :
6 yr H1-B period is ending on Dec 22, 2009. I'm getting married in India in October and will apply for my wife's H4 immediately after. Here are my questions :
1. Will there be any problem with my wife's H4 application if there are just 2 months of validity left on my H1 visa?
2. I could potentially start my H1 extension process now. I'm eligible for a 3 year extension since the Priority date of Jan 3, 2006, on my EB2 application is not current. If I was to start my extension process now, my approval may not happen before October and my lawyer there may be some problems if I travel outside the country on a pending H1 application. Should I apply for my H1 extension now or after I come back to the US in November?
3. If I was to apply for H1 extension in Nov and don't get an approval by the time of my current H1 expiry in December, will I be out of status?

I was an employee with company A till march 2008 and i kept a H1b transfer to

on receipt number applied for h1b transfer at USCIS. I got an RFE with

My sister, as part of submitting documents for her fiance visa application, recently got a birth certificate. However, it doesn't have her name on it. Odd as it sounds, the municipality says that this is common practice. It just has the name of the parents.

I am looking for some feedback how is FexEx based in Memphis for joining on Ac1. How easy or difficult is to get a H-1B sponsorship and a new green card sponsorship etc ? How is their immigration lawyers ? I would also appreciate any other feedback on FedEx as an employer.

Does the published cumulative demand data represent
a) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants and their dependents
OR
b) all pending 485 cases that include primary applicants only?
If say, the demand data for EB3, till 2004 says 35,000 - does this mean there are a total of 35,000 pending cases in total OR does this represent primary applicants only?
If it represents primary applicants only, what is the multiplication factor we need to use to get an approximate number for total pending 485 cases?

My I-485 and I-140 was filed last week. I was wondering how many days it takes to get receit and .
when does the six month count down for AC21 begin???? Is it after receit date or fedex date..thnx

You need to wait till your I-140 is approved. Otherwise, you will face problem in AC21 stage.
That said, the 180 days count from "receipt" date in your I-797 (receipt for I-485). And its better to have few days more, if not few weeks/months (just to be safe).
